Yes vb is NOT over-rated! Its a very good software all around and it is constantly being improved. Also the add-ons are very well designed and there are alot to choose from.

Well no, it's a very good forum software. Highly customizable, can easily change the interface into something brand new. If I had the money for it, I would get it.

No, it is not overrated in the least. Everyone has got to admit that vB does better than MyBB. It has a better interface and 10x more features. MyBB keeps it very basic and that's why in 2.0 I would prefer a more detailed Interface and Admin CP.

Interface? ACP is harder then Mybb. Themes looks fugly. Its also more of a load. Its become so much more with so much pull backs.

The coders need to rethink the software a little.

It's nice software because it has payed programmers who do all the work making cool features while MyBB is free and offering almost the same.

Tm0; Its not harder, its more detailed, When I was an admin of a vB forum, I was like "Wut teh Shiz?" but then around a day or 2 into it, it seemed much better than MyBB's ACP. You can do anything with it.

What Rose said it's basically true. It has more free stuff more everything hell you can't recognize it even as forum if you do lot of customization.

As I say, with some knowledge about CSS and HTML you can make a Equal ACP theme of vB for MyBB.

So the thing is not what ACP is better than other, because some people are happy with the SMF ACP and some people is happy with the (nice) ACP of MyBB

Anyway the better ACP style and programming is that will be better for you

The only thing I don't really like that much is the default look of vBulletin, it looks cluttered. The forums and sections seem too close together, and the plain background makes it feel dull and lifeless. Although there are plenty of themes you can change to =P
