It's always a good idea to secure your forums. You never know when a hacker is going to try and hack into your forums.

I, for one, take extra precautionaires.

Thanks, This tip is a good one, Although I probably won't need it yet as only my friends have joined my forum, I have not submitted my current one to google ads or any other place yet.

You can use .htaccess and .htpasswd in combination for this.

If you appreciate your forums take ALL the security recomendations to reduce the risk.

Later I post an example of simple .htaccess and .htpasswd protect method.
