Do you click on advertisements?
Be honest... Are you the type that uses 10 differeny pop-up blockers, ad-blockers, flash blockers, image blockers, and avoids them at all costs (even if they interest you) or the type that actually clicks on them..?

RE: Do you click on advertisements?
I do. I think if you allow yourself to avoid all ads you are hurting the internets monetary infrastructure. I click ads I am curious about or interested. I don't use a popup blocker or image blocker at all. If I am at a site with too many popups I just leave.

What people need to understand is that most websites are in business because of ad revenue and if their users never clicked on the ad's they wouldn't be around. I generally click ad's as a "favor" for sites I am a member of to help them out a little bit. I rarely am interested in the ads -they are usually rubbish trying to get me to lose weight, I'm thin, or earn $100,000 in a month... neither is gonna happen.

I think it'd be great if there was some "movement" that would encourage ad clicks... just for the hell of it. Sure would make a lot of people happy and web content would only become better. Seems though it's going in the opposite direction.

I wish we could control/approve each ad the appears on our sites. It sure would help.

Thanks,

Don't some advertisers offer you to use specific keywords for your advertisements? I've been considering using affiliates because most people would probably rather check out or use a service they is well known, rather then see ad's that are kind of random.

I wonder if they have PPC affilate programs, or CPM. Not too familiar with all of the ad stuff. I've only seen commission programs.

RE: Do you click on advertisements?
If I am interested in the content of the ad, I will click a banner. But most of the time I try to ignore ads.

RE: Do you click on advertisements?
I never saw an ad that made me interested.. so yeah, I don't click them by interest. But when I like the site and oh well, if the admin helped me.. I click them a lot. But in general, I don't.
Just really for helping or something.. you know Tongue

Regards.

RE: Do you click on advertisements?
I don't have a popup blocker, but, like most, I don't click the ads. I don't even read them - my eye just glazes over the vast majority.
