I did some research on promoting my site via yahoo answers, According to the answers to my question about this I submitted to yahoo answers about this you cannot put a link back to you website in an answer, I did see one person who said you could put a link back to you profile on yahoo answers but as I was looking for examples of this none of the answers had a option to see someones profile,

Because of all this I do not understand how answering question even if it is within you sites area of expertise would generate traffic to you site. I know there is no seo link juice from yahoo answers but thought I might develop some credibility and get people to click on a link back to you site

Often on various forums I see people asking about getting traffic from yahoo answers for their site but after researching yahoo answers to find out how to do this it seems like answering questions is a waste of time since you can't put a link back to you site, If I am wrong about this then tell me how it is done.

You can put as reference website if useful and u can have link in profile

I use Yahoo Answers too. I put a link on the source to get traffic from other visitors which have interests on the niche of my website, but it needs to be valid and relevant or else it may cause spam.

Yahoo Answers is now too sensitive. When you post a link there be sure that it is not a form of advertising and still related to the topic/question. Failure to do this will cause a ban from the site.

I think yahoo answers is not worth for promotion and is a risky waste of time, you get no traffic or do follow backlinks and if you will get caught by yahoo your site will get penalized

Yahoo answer is still not that popular to be used for traffic purpose, and it is too sensitive too, only one mistake can casue you great damage and ban your id.

No i don't use Yahoo answeer for promotion purpose at all, there are other effective sites than that like Facebook and Twitter, which are very popular and not too risky too.

Yahoo answer is not too effective when it comes to promotion. But its very good for finding answers for your questions.

They attach no follow so there is no SEO help, but if you get a best answer on a popular question it can give you lots of traffic.
