Both PHP and Javascript are widely used - though PHP has gained lots of popularity. Which do you prefer and why?

PHP is better in my opinion. Its easier to grasp than javascript, and can be used with mySQL to create web applications. Also, javascript can be blocked by a user, but php can't (obviously)

They can't really be compared because PHP is used for the backend of a website while Javscript is for the flashy stuff at the front. I do like PHP more though, because its easier to learn than javscript

PHP is easier to grasp at the beginning, but it gets more complicated later. Javscript is hard to learn at a basic level, but once you have done that it becomes much easier.

PHP imo

PHP. Not really any reason apart from I've worked with PHP more than I have with JavaScript.
