Do you guys ever been hacked? I've never been hacked, luckily.
I have a few times. Usually it's from an old script.
, I always sign up to mailing-lists since last month. A friend of mine got hacked cause he didn't know there was an update xD.
I have never been hacked in my life, none of my forums, nothing. Also, not a single forum I ever lead ( was admin or root admin ), has never been hacked xD
Funny, I was an admin on couple of bigger forums such as comp. forum . com, and it's been hacked several times before and after I was demoted, but never at the time I was.
Come to think of it, I'm lucky. ^^
I haven't been hacked yet during my Webmastering career and I plan on not to. In order to this, I make sure that all the scripts I run are the latest and or secure. If it's outdated and/or the company is planning on releasing another release within the next few weeks, then I wait for the stable release because I really can't be bothered to download the script, then find out a new update has been released and would have to go through the process of updating everything AFTER there is already data in the database.

You are a protection Angel xD. Its also good to remove your version number of the software (if it is possible) I heard.

Well all those hackers are actualy script-kiddies that goes to hacking sites copy/paste codes and then "x0ax0xa0ax0 i HACKED YOUR SITE" "ME PRO".
That is sad ...but that how life is...
One of my sites was hacked. And after I left godaddy it never happened again.
