How important do you think Alexa ranks are nowadays? I have seen many sites like AdToll that use this but I'm not sure how accurate it is.
Alexa no longer only uses toolbar stats, but also some other data collection methods.
Well , from what i know my site isnt even rated by alexa more.
When i used phpbb i got rated , out of 100,000 switched to SMF , now i can see old stats and image from phpbb that is almost 1yeah old.
I dont think Alexa is anything usefull this days.
My site has never been rated, the alexa box hasn't even came on my site before, so i have no use for it, idk if it's useful today, or how many people even use it, it's probably a low percentage of people who use it.

My point execly it was used on phpbb , coz of default bots that are given.
As i said i doubt there is anything usefull with alexa , lets not speak about "internet penis" my site is batter rated then yours
That's wonderful im happy for you, i just started my site so, it's not well rated yet, but it will be soon, im sure with all of these tools im using.
Alexa isn't really that accurate. You can install the toolbar on your site, have your friends install it on their computers, and then refresh your site a million times and have your Alexa rank skyrocket. It's all based on pageviews from what I've seen.
Its not that important, but it is a useful tool for measuring your online presence in comparison to your competition.
Alexa is not important is just a reference but the stats are not 100% real.
If your site is in 25k- the stats are more stable but 100k+ are not good.
nah, it doesn't seem that useful these days. But does anyone know anywhere else where you can get your site rated genuinely?
Worry about your community not your stats its always better.
