Hello,

I just know about backlinks concept and wonder how can I build backlinks for my site?

I submitted my site every where I can, but it seem does not help me much.

Thanks in advance.
Quite frankly, I feel kind of lost when I face this question. I think that the following is how I would approach …

1. Get my site indexed using sig links …
2. Get PR1 or 2 using sig links …
3. Maybe, at this point, exchange links …
You can also try stuff like link vault or coop. However recently it seems backlinks are often penalized unless they are truly natural. Google basically doesn't want you trying to get links.

You can also join as many forums, social bookmark sites, and blogs as you possible can. It's vigoruous work but given enough effort and time you could gain hundreds of links with this method.

I plan a promotion for this site to create inbound links but I don't want to give away how I am going to do it just yet.

Most of the time, Google can not make the difference between natural links and paid links.
The more backlinks you get, the better you'll be. Forum signatures can help. Submission to web directories can also help.

You can always try to purchase links. I also found that posting comments in blogs relevant to your niche helps. The trick is to stay as close to our niche as possible. Building links in non-relevant won't do you much good.
I have submitted to quite a few free Dirs, doesnt help much, I guess.
Do forum signatures really count. I mean, can they pass Google PR juice. As the time goes by and the link go deeper in the forum, I guess, the PR juice passed is very less, or nil!

Correct me if I am wrong!

I strongly advise against the use of link network like Coop and Link Vault. You’ll get hurt in the end.

How will you get hurt in the end? Seems harmless enough to have a few links on your site. I do check to make sure they aren't casinos and ban them if they are.

LOL...I think I know of at least one of the things you're doing. I recognize quite a few of your newer members. Wink

The main ways are:
- Blog Comments
- Link Directories
- Paid Links
- Sigs on forums

Off course, its important to get relevant link backs. Theres no point getting a link back from a football site if your site is about cheese
Contacting directly sites that would be interested in a link exchange is also a good thing. Best to approach them one by one and not used a canned email.
