Microsoft tried to buy yahoo for ~$40billion, but yahoo turned the offer down claiming it devalued their company. I get the feeling Microsoft will up the price (it wouldn't be good for them to give up now).
What's your opinion of this development?
I reckon its the beginning of the end of Microsoft. They really haven't been able to get a hold of the online market.Trying to buy a competitor isn't the way to go. They should spend that 40 billion on improving their services and make them better than what google offers.
I heard that on my google desktop thing.
They have also tried to make their own Wikipedia called Knol, I think if they want any chance of beating Wikipedia, they should go ahead and buy them - not start a new one, that is not going to work in my opinion.
