I use Related words, fir my gfx forum i use "Rosegfx" and it all differs, 3 letters are good for "certain" types of sites but still.

If you want a good positioning domain you may use Relevant Keywords i.e.: for a webmaster forum this webmasterforums.biz will relevant and good positioned, same thing for a hackers forums hackforums.net its 100% Relevant.

I think the .com domains are better because are most popular, and for the length of the domain is better with three words and easy to remember.

All this things are SEO too Wink

.Net is also popular among many forum makers. It seems to be a main one for all types of forums. I prefer .Net over .Com, i find .Net more Pro. looking.

. Try to be unique and don't wait a lot because someone could already take your desired domain name. You never know how much people think same as you.

Yeah, I'm going to use .net instead of .com. It's more professional and more suitable for what I'm going to name my website.

Dot.coms are more SEO (I believe i read that somewhere, but it had no proof...) and .Net is for Networks, it was intended for ISPs, i believe.

Yeah but a lot of forums I go to have .NET and they are probably on top of the Google Pages when I search them, It depends on your sites Keywords as well. Also .COM Costs more =P
