Dofollow blogs, social bookmarking, forums???

I heard that doing dofollow blogs comments, and forums seems to be useless or not much value to google. Is it true?

i think those have value,but the best way to get a good rank on google is write good content,get backlinks from the right way.

blog comments is one of the most effective link building technique. You can get a lot of benefits from it especially if it is dofollow. for forums, it can be a less value if it is not related to your niche, but is the one of the easiest and fastest way to increase backlinks.

You have been misled as all that you have mentioned in your post (forum posting, blog commenting and social bookmarking) are considered quality backlinks.

No its not true, do follow blogs and forums are still very effective in giving back links for the sites, so its just a rumour as far as i know.

As per my knowledge in no-follow blogs there is an attribute that tell the crawler not to follow specific link where in do-follow crawler is instructed to do crawl those links. So in SEO point of view do-follow link building does matter.
