Can children run a successful forum?
I mean children between 13 - 18. I think yes, Im self 13 years old and I had some forums with 100+ members and I had no problems. You need to start somewhere so why not now? Some people said that I cant cause I'm not old enough. Thats bullshit, I heard about a forum with 10.000+ members and the owner was under the 18.
However, whats your opinion? |

RE: Can children run a successful forum?
I disagree that you have to be a certain age to own a forum. I am 14, almost 15, and I have run some forums in my day. They may not have been successful... But thats only because I need to figure out what type of forum is the best to be successful.
But IMHO, I think you can be aby age as long as you know what you're doing

RE: Can children run a successful forum?
Have exactly the same problem. One time I had a good subject but I stopped it. Now I can't find what type of forum is the best to be successful.
And indeed, I know that I have responsibility! |

RE: Can children run a successful forum?
I'm 17 myself, so I don't know does my vote even count. But I say: of course children can run successful forums. After all...children are our future, and believe it or not, children are born smarter every day.

RE: Can children run a successful forum?
Why is this in hosting??? I moved it to marketing because that's kinda what I got outta this =/
But, yea. I think they could make just as good a webmaster as a 40 year old or better. I have a friend I met at AdminLounge named Jimmie Lin who is just a beast at coding and design and he's only 11. He created the Hosting Tool and partner in CreateBB |

RE: Can children run a successful forum?
Children is a group i would put below your ages you posted. I call them teenagers. Not kids.
So to answer your question yes. I have seen successful forums ran by "children" |

RE: Can children run a successful forum?
Sure, no problem. They just need some knowledge of basic languages like HTML and CSS, experience with administration and with the software they're using. And of course you need good vocabulary, not something like 'i R so kewl.. i liek stuf.. and u?', that just doesn't fit the admin position.
With all that, I think any kid, teenager or whatever could manage to run a sucessfull forum. |

RE: Can children run a successful forum?
Yes absolutely. 13 is a bit young but I have seen 15 and 16 year olds with forums that did just fine.

RE: Can children run a successful forum?
I wouldn't necessary base it all on age. It also depends how mature and smart they are.
