Well 95% of the webmasters the goal is to make profit, and yes this can be done easy, its not hard but you need to be patient, well the first thing you need to do is open website ofc , now many people are wondering "hmm what kind of website to make" if you are thinking on this one i will lol at you hardly, so let me give you example with me.

i'm c++ programmer & web designer, so what kind of website i would open, well i would open website plus forum about c++ programs & web design, now the real question how to make money, well on my website i make custom c++ programs by costumers orders, programs for running in the market, companies fun programs and much more, and you actually sell those programs to the costumers, ofc you will have to be patient and allways work on driving trafic on your website/forum. and in my free time i make themes for peoples forums or websites and again sell them, people are buying this stuff, dont even think "ahhah what a noob who will buy that kind of thing" well they do, and they need it.

I don't know how the hell anyone makes much money off google. I had 2400 ads displayed on my website last month and 0 clicks.

Maybe you should try other techniques to make these ads working. There are loads of people who can help you with that.

I'm already helping myself. I am in the process of removing 1/2 of the ads from my web pages. If no one is going to click them, I don't need them there. Google's newly added additional calls to doubleclick seems to be slowing down my web pages' load speed anyway.
