RE: 1and1.com
I have a few domains registered with them. What's cool is you can switch your domain to "private" for free... Most registrars will charge you for that.

Very cheap domains, and hosting isn't bad either. I don't like their control panel though, and domains can only be registered for one year.

RE: 1and1.com
I haven't personally signed up with this host provider, however, one of the clients I work with do. From what I've heard, 1and1.com is a pretty cheat and decent service if you're aiming to host a site or two on their service.

Unfortunately, I have to concur with Ricardo-san. Their Control Panel isn't something I'm quite comfortable with using. I would know because my client showed me where he was planning to host his sites and logged into 1and1.com. When he did, I saw the control panel and I wasn't very pleased. I had to be told exactly where I was going to view his unpublished site. It was queer and something I really didn't feel like trying again.

You can't say that unless you've actually signed up with their services. You have to really take a close look at their Control Panel, it's mediocre.
